Hi I'm having a problem connecting to a provider using g723, FS read ptime as 120ms and compare it to ptime 20ms on the provider end, then chooses 120ms which end up with distorted voice. don't get any warning regarding wrong ptime reporting from other end. The provider said they are using ptime 30ms with g723, so have no idea why FS read it as 20 ms. g729 work great no problems. Is there a way to preset g723 ptime to 30 ms in FS. edit your sofia profile and add <param name="rtp-autofix-timing" value="false"/> On Fri, Sep 17, 2010 at 10:06 AM, gamalsa <gamalsa@hotmail.com> wrote:

Thanks Anthony for the reply.. I already did that but the problem remains. I also set inboud-codec-negotiation to scrooge but same problem remains. -- View this message in context: http://freeswitch-users.2379917.n2.nabble.com/G723-Wrong-ptime-tp5543130p554... the problem can't remain if you did what I said because it completely disables the code that generates that message. This means you are doing something wrong. On Fri, Sep 17, 2010 at 11:47 AM, gamalsa <gamalsa@hotmail.com> wrote:

I don't get any message from FS, i just hear a distorted voice when using g.723. and from the debug output i see that freeswitch compares 120 ms p-time to 20 ms p-time on the other end (and chooses 120ms), while the other end is using p-time 30 ms. It is strange because g.723 uses p-time 30 ms by default. Is there any way to force FS to use g723 with p-time 30 ms with this specific provider? This problem doesn't exist when using g729 codec. I'm using the last svn of freeswitch. thanks -- View this message in context: http://freeswitch-users.2379917.n2.nabble.com/G723-Wrong-ptime-tp5543130p554...
