there is core odbc support available and has been for a while. If you are doing heavy traffic, its best to put the core.db on a ramdisk. you should also update to latest GIT because your specific bugs are all closed as fixed now. On Tue, Nov 23, 2010 at 8:51 AM, Jeff Lenk <jeff@jefflenk.com> wrote:

Hi Anthony Yes I have updated to the latest git release after those issues were fixed. When you say ramdisk you dont mean tmpfs or do you?. Also any size recommendations for ramdisk? The size of ramdisk my machine creates is 16MB, is it going to be enough? Thanks Ahmed On Tue, Nov 23, 2010 at 9:09 PM, Anthony Minessale < anthony.minessale@gmail.com> wrote:

Yes, tmpfs is one option. But there are other solutions around. The size of the ramdisk you create with tmpfs is configurable, obivously. I mean update regularly when you are on the development release. Not just once right after your problem is fixed. mkdir /ram mount -t tmpfs /dev/ram0 /ram symlink your core.db so its in /ram also be sure to remove manage-presence param from your sofia profile if you are not using presence, it's quite costly on call volume (thanks SIP) On Tue, Nov 23, 2010 at 10:27 AM, Ahmed Bhaila <ahmed.ajmal@gmail.com> wrote:

i already tried ODBC, first with MySQL and then with Postgresql, but with a bit traffic load, the connection was lost between database, i wasn't getting new calls information in calls, channels table.. with same or even high pressure Sqlite was working quite fine. Move db dir on ramdisk by: *mount -t tmpfs tmpfs /usr/local/freeswitch/db*
I checked the wiki again and it appears the reference has been removed, below is the line which was is in question: Obs., You cannot set FreeSWITCH to use ODBC for db/core.db. This one is SQLite only. It was removed a few days back, so I will try with MySQL again. Thanks AB On Tue, Nov 23, 2010 at 7:51 PM, Jeff Lenk <jeff@jefflenk.com> wrote:
