Why does FREESWITCH fail with our router setting of SIP-ALG turned on? This seems to be opposite of Asterisk. John Schaeffer Telecommunications Engineer 503-727-9903(w)971-212-9431(c) [EB logo_no tagline_med]

Depends on what exactly the ALG is doing. But, in general, ALGs hurt rather than help matters. -- Alex Balashov - Principal Evariste Systems LLC 235 E Ponce de Leon Ave Suite 106 Decatur, GA 30030 United States Tel: +1-678-954-0670 Web: http://www.evaristesys.com/, http://www.alexbalashov.com/
I know most here don't like ALG but my FreeSwitch does not work without it turned on in my Zyxel router, it has two DSL connections that FreeSwitch shares and auto failover when one goes down. Flawless for 3+ years now. Never could get it to work right without ALG. Planning to put the setup on the wiki someday.
