[freeswitch-users] Grandstream ATA configuration
Has anyone interfaced Freeswitch with any of the Grandstream ATAs? If so, are there any issues that a user needs to be aware of, prior to install? I have a customer who is installing Freeswitch with a Grandstream ATA and interfacing that to an Avaya PBX. Any heads up on potential issues would be greatly appreciated. Jonathan

I personally gave up on grandstream ATA's long ago as they where flakey and buggy at that time. I was trying to use the HT-488 as an FXS and FXO which didn't work right. I later found that even as an FXS only this ATA didn't perform reliably. Just my 2c (US), Marty
Did you ever identify an ATA that did work reliably? On Sat, Nov 8, 2008 at 11:23 AM, Martin Joseph <astmac@stillnewt.org> wrote:

I also have a couple of other ATA's like the AG-168v (very cheap but good), AG-188 (a newer version that I didn't like as much).
Yes the audiocodes hardware was much more expensive. Worth it? Totally. Marty

I bought a grandstream GX4104 the web interface locked up constantly so much I couldn't even get it configured. Now I'm trying to setup an audio codes 4 port FXO. Marty could you share the configuration you came up with to get the Audiocodes working. Either add it to the wiki or send info on the list and I will add it to the wiki. I'm building an open source GUI package for FreeSWITCH running on the pfSense firewall. In this environment a reliable external device would be ideal. http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,11930.0.html Best Regards, Mark --- On Sat, 11/8/08, Martin Joseph <astmac@stillnewt.org> wrote:
