Hi all, Im interested in knowing if there are any hosted services of FreeSwitch. Basically Im a provider who provide termination services to callshops. Im looking for a cost effective switch to take my traffic and felt that Freeswitch having IAX2 support would be a great choice. Looking for some recommendations. Im not a good techie on Freeswitch, hence would like to know how i can proceed with a installation of freeswitch and the day to a functioning. Does it have a GUI to manage everything? Thanks in advance.. Wishing u all a very Happy and Prosperous 2007 Dan

Dan I hope everyone will forgive me for this, but I don't think freeswitch is ready yet to be used as a mission-critical switch. David On 12/31/06, sdcharly@gmail.com <sdcharly@gmail.com> wrote:

Any estimate (non-committal of course) when FreeSwitch could be used in production? 2006/12/31, David Villasmil Govea <david.villasmil@gmail.com>:

Hi David, Thanks for that important bit of information. That was really necessary as my exposure to Freeswitch was limited hence i was looking forward for option on the same. Can anyone tell how far is it until we have Freeswitch in production. Looking for some good utilities on it Regards Dan On 31/12/06, Yitzhak Bar Geva <yitzhakbg@gmail.com> wrote:

Dan, FreeSWITCH is a highly powerful softswitch/tool kit, while not ready for production can in some cases solve problems better than anything else out there. Nobody is begging anyone to use it in production in fact if you wish to use it it does take a bit of a learning curve right now to work with it but we are more than willing on the IRC channel to answer your questions to help you get started. Anthony is not going to release it till its a 2 ton sledge hammer that can crush any task you toss at it... is that a bad thing to want stable software? We think not. ;) /b On Dec 31, 2006, at 4:34 AM, sdcharly@gmail.com wrote:

David, Nobody ever said it was. Just like any other product each person must do their own testing and make that determination. I know a few people that are using it in production but those are the brave souls that are assisting us in nailing down any bugs they find. It's not even at a release version yet.
