Suitable log files for freeswitch?
Hi, I started to work with freeswitch and I am really impressed with its features. But I'm quite unhappy with the log files freeswitch provides. Unlike Asterisk the call uuid is not included in every line so that I can't separate the log entries that belong to different calls. I already added to logfile.conf.xml, but it doesn't affect all functions that log something. So my question ist: how do you handle different calls in the freeswitch log files? Are there any methods you can recommend? Is anyone already working on a solution? Thanks a lot! antonellababy
affects all log entries that relate to a channel. Not all log entries relate to a channel though and therefore some won't have a UUID. Additionally some log entries are multiline and will only have the UUID on the first line (SDP logging for example). If you find any channel-related log entries that aren't logging against a specific channel file a Jira. -Steve On 19 September 2013 09:08, Melanie Treitinger <treitinger@as-infodienste.de

Moc patched multi-line, for SDP, in FS-3572<http://jira.freeswitch.org/browse/FS-3572> . There were a few things that didn't have channel information available and it seems were un-patchable. Some of these aren't channel related usually. On Sep 19, 2013, at 1:49 PM, Avi Marcus <avi@avimarcus.net> wrote:

Cool :) Melanie, as you can see if log entries are related to a channel but not logging as such the devs would be open to fixing that. It just needs them to be pointed out. On 19 September 2013 19:49, Avi Marcus <avi@avimarcus.net> wrote:

Thanks a lot for your answers. So I will file a JIRA issue with the missing uuids and hope this will be fixed soon :-) -Melanie Am 20.09.2013 09:39, schrieb Steven Ayre:
