Skype client memory leak on CentOS?
Zuhair reported:
but i m facing only one problem, that after few time skype client leaks its memory and it crashes the free switch...
Zuhair, which version of the skype client are you using? The recommended one is 2.0.72 static build. Are you sure you got a memory leak? It will show up as a permanently increasing growing of the memory used by the skype client. You can see this with the "top" command. After one call it will report one number, after many calls will report a bigger number, and it will continue to grow with every call, or as time passes... No memory leaks has been reported using Skype client 2.0.72 static build. -giovanni -- Sincerely, Giovanni Maruzzelli Cell : +39-347-2665618
im using skype 2.0.72 but im not sure because i never see fs crashing my self so im not sure if it is the problem of skype or something else. It always happens when i m not connected to the terminal. but once when i did sk_list i saw call hangup in process for a very long time and one other status that i forgot also the status of skype was away on my personal skype id I tried to remove the interfaces but Fs was unable to remove it then i tried to kill fs and Xvfb but fs unable to kill among my 16 instances of Xvfb/skype 9 got killed and the 3 that were hung up were not being killed with kill or killall after all this I did kill -9 as Mr Shahryar wrote on the wiki that we can use a script that will remove interfaces from FS and then killall Xvfb and then rerun and load mod_skypopen again and that script should run after some fixed interval. I am trying to find out the issue why it failed ... lets see if i can or not On Sun, Sep 19, 2010 at 11:48 AM, Giovanni Maruzzelli <gmaruzz@gmail.com>wrote:
