Re: [Freeswitch-users] FreeSWITCH Start up Script - Ubuntu Server
just add "/usr/local/freeswitch/bin/freeswitch -nc" to /etc/rc/local before exit 0 My rc.local file looks like below #!/bin/sh -e # # rc.local # # This script is executed at the end of each multiuser runlevel. # Make sure that the script will "exit 0" on success or any other # value on error. # # In order to enable or disable this script just change the execution # bits. # # By default this script does nothing. /usr/local/freeswitch/bin/freeswitch -nc exit 0 ------------ cheers ! http://askadmin.com http://sipcosystems.com -- View this message in context: http://freeswitch-users.2379917.n2.nabble.com/FreeSWITCH-Start-up-Script-Ubu... That is a terrible way to start freeswitch when a perfectly good init.d script exists. On 9 July 2013 16:10, sreekanth <sreekanth@sipcosystems.com> wrote:

You can also use the debain init script just fine on an Ubuntu system...

Personally I like to launch FreeSWITCH via djb daemontools or runit. It keeps the service monitored, so in case of crash, it relaunches FS. -Yossi On 07/09/2013 11:44 AM, Jeff Leung wrote:
