Hi all, we have an existing traditional PBX which supports h323. Would it be possible to have multiple sip phones talking to freeSWITCH and the h323 trunks going from freeSWITCH to the traditional PBX, which would then route the calls out to the existing isdn trunks? Richard
Sure, I did it successfully using mod_h323. http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_h323 Denis On Sri, 2013-09-18 at 12:50 +0100, Richard Mace wrote:

And can it work in both directions? So a user dials a number (which isn't internal on the existing switch) and then it calls that extension on the FreeSWITCH system over H323? Richard On 18 Sep 2013 12:58, "Shishko" <shishko69@gmail.com> wrote:

On FreeSWITCH you have to configure H323 according to http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_h323#Configuration For outgoing calls you set up dialplan according to http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_h323#Usage PBX should be configured to transfer calls to ip address defined in listener part of configuration (h323-ip). Ok thanks, are there any examples of getting h323 working to and from a FreeSWITCH box and an h323 enabled PBX as the opal configuration page looks pretty basic? Richard On 19 Sep 2013 12:19, "Steven Ayre" <steveayre@gmail.com> wrote:
