Binding freeswitch to a specific ip address
What is the best way to accomplish this? Can 'local_ip_v4' be set in vars.xml and have it override any autodetection of the IP address on the server? Thanks, Brian
Dude, Straight out of the default config: <!-- bind_server_ip Can be an ip address, a dns name, or "auto". This determines an ip address available on this host to bind. If you are separating RTP and SIP traffic, you will want to have use different addresses where this variable appears. Used by: sofia.conf.xml dingaling.conf.xml --> <X-PRE-PROCESS cmd="set" data="bind_server_ip=auto"/> On Fri, May 2, 2008 at 2:45 PM, Brian Snipes <bsnipes@snipes.org> wrote:

Well you can open up the sip profile and input the ip address so it binds to the addr of choice. The defaults were done this way to ensure it just worked out of the box in most installations. /b On May 2, 2008, at 3:09 PM, SMP wrote:

Dang it... I really should have seen that... I just kept seeing the $${local_ip_v4} in the dialplan configs and didn't see any place to set it so thought it was the thing to use... Brian On Fri, 2008-05-02 at 15:09 -0500, SMP wrote:
