Why not include configure options for tcmalloc (google perftools)? Such as this patch - http://oss.axsentis.de/people/stkn/freeswitch/freeswitch-r7716-alternative-m... I compiled with LIBS='-ltcmalloc' and works just fine. Maybe 0,1% vore memory used.
