Hi all, I have installed the latest version of freeswitch, with fusionpbx. It is an upgraded install. However, some of the extensions do not generate a ring tone when calling in. Specifically, it is one extension and one ring group. Everything else is fine ( I think). Would be good if someone can help with 1) direct me to the relevant sections in the freeswitch manual, or 2) just tell me how to make it ring. In fusionpbx, it is set to “default” for that specific ring group, same as the other ring groups. Gracias, Tony

Ciao Stanislav, I know your post is a joke, but for the sake of readers not in the know, FusionPBX does so many things on top of managing FreeSWITCH configs. Is a complete and extensible enterprise PBX. -giovanni

Well, Giovanni, this was only partially a joke. But it's not the right place, and I don't really have time to criticize FusionPBX. In short, if you can avoid it, you better do without it :) On Tue, Apr 21, 2015 at 8:01 PM, Giovanni Maruzzelli <gmaruzz@gmail.com> wrote:

Is it possible that early media or ring ready are being handled differently by the different phones that he has and therefore suppressing the ring in some cases? Bote

Thanks for all who replied. The solution was a missing ring_ready on that ring group. Added one through fusionpbx, and it now rings. Gasp! Tony
