Hi, I am trying to use H.323 on freeswitch. I know that I have to use Woomera, but I have read in wiki this: Mod_woomera is deprecated and will be removed. It needs to be re-written because the protocol has since changed drastically since the original code was written. I still have to use Woomera or I have to use another thing? Any suggestions? Hello, Unfortunately, it seems that at the moment there is no other implementation for H323 in Freeswitch, other than Woomera... Best regards, Vlasis Hatzistavrou.
If you guys need this i'm sure we can find someone to write it if you guys wanna fund that. /b On Oct 4, 2007, at 12:49 PM, Vlasis Hatzistavrou (KTI) wrote:

This will currently work with the older openh323 woomera server, however it will not with the newest opal woomera server. mod_woomera will not be removed from tree until we have the new version working. Mike On 10/4/07, Vlasis Hatzistavrou (KTI) <vhatz@kinetix.gr> wrote:

OK this all started as a joke, but you know what it shouldn¹t be a joke... Someone Donated $1 to the FreeSwitch project this morning. What does this go to pay for? Whatever the developers need. What do they need? Hardware, Bandwidth, Minutes to a variety of providers for testing interop, caffeine to keep them cranking out the good code at 4AM when we¹re all in bed asleep. The FreeSwitch Team led by Anthm has made huge strides over the past year. I challenge every freeswitch user out there to go to http://www.freeswitch.org/ and click on the ³Donate² button. How much do you donate? $1, $5, $10? It doesn¹t matter, all the funds go for a good cause and that¹s keeping the coders coding, the doc writers writing, and the testers testing. FreeSwitch is rapidly moving toward a release with many things being resolved as I type this. So lets help those that help us! Ken

Well, my company would be more than happy to provide free minutes for testing voice & fax calls for interop testing with a variety of equipment (commercial & open source) and protocols (H323, SIP or IAX). We'd be more than happy to provide this assistance, especially if this would help the growth of H323 support for Freeswitch. If any of the developers is interested in this please contact me to arrange the details.
Hi it's me again, I have installed woomera and I am using FS to bridge a call between a H.323 device and a SIP device. The calls connect ok. However, there are some issues: * I have one way audio: caller can hear, but receiver can't * woomera closes after someone hangups * I have high PDD if I use SIP--->H.323 * The call appears like established even if the receiver hasn't picked it up (I think this is related with bridge application) I have compiled woomera twice and it's the same behaviour Can someone help me? Thanks, Santiago

Hi, The call is connecting just fine. Which suggests the TCP channels are all established great. Audio in one direction (audio is UDP) --- This is most likely a firewall/NAT issue. For your initial tests, please make sure all nodes are a)on the same LAN b)don't have firewalls enabled.
