I want to run a little lua script early in the dialplan processing. I need to get in front of some of the X-PRE-PROCESS stuff, notably <X-PRE-PROCESS cmd="include" data="public/*.xml"/> Can I use "inline" to do this, I wonder? I've already put <X-PRE-PROCESS cmd="include" data="ddicheck.xml"/> in, but the extension it contains that runs some lua doesn't execute until after all the other main extensions have been considered for execution.
Right, it does the hunt and THEN does the execute. So you're right -- try inline. I think it was changed to allow Lua for inline, but be sure not to touch the media! Update the wiki when you know for sure. -Avi On Fri, Jun 28, 2013 at 2:31 PM, Alex Lake <alex@digitalmail.com> wrote:

Yeah, inline="true" works on the action.

Any idea where to update the Wiki?!

If you search inline, you get to this page: http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Misc._Dialplan_Tools_InlineDialplan ... which, afaik, is the inline nobody uses. So that has a link (from me, I think) to here: *Are you looking for inline actions <http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Dialplan_XML#Inline_Actions> in the dialplan?* Which is just a piece of the XML dialplan page. It should probably be broken out to it's own page, and then template included... -Avi
I frequently use inline dialplan:-) It's very handy in cases like set execute_on_XXXX=execute_extension 'bla-bla' inline. On Friday 28 June 2013 18:41:42 Avi Marcus wrote:

For the record, getting in front of x-preprocess stuff is impossible because It is only done once when you load the XML and is permanent. I mean you can put an extension in the default.xml before it calls the include but those are called preprocess because they are done before everything else.
