ERROR: switch_rtp.c:389 Failed DTMF payload check.
HI, I submitted a jira because people get yelled at for not sending a jira on ERRORs. However, I really think this might be a Cisco SPA504G setup issue. I get "[Err] switch_rtp.c:389 Failed DTMF payload check" when I dial OUT and hit an IVR where I have to enter DTMF numbers. My latest was entering CC number, the response I got was "You entered 4", the first of 16 digits I typed! Cisco has some parameters for DTMF and my are set thusly: DTMF Playback Level: 0 DTMF Playback Length: .1 and Inband DTMF Boost: 6dB. Could those values be incorrect or hindering the process? Thanks, Sean
See the bug for instructions to turn up dtmf debugging. The sanity check stuff is only on the inbound side of DTMF so its something between you and the phone. You may want to pcap it too. On Mon, Apr 22, 2013 at 3:10 PM, Sean Devoy <sdevoy@bizfocused.com> wrote:

Hi Sean, We have a few hundred of these and haven't discovered any issues with DTMF using: <Mark_All_AVT_Packets>No</Mark_All_AVT_Packets> <DTMF_Playback_Level>-16</DTMF_Playback_Level> <DTMF_Playback_Length>.1</DTMF_Playback_Length> <Inband_DTMF_Boost>12dB</Inband_DTMF_Boost> Hopefully this helps. Spencer, would you mind looking on the wiki interop pages to see if we have this info in there for Cisco SPA500 series phones? Thanks! -Michael On Mon, Apr 22, 2013 at 1:30 PM, Spencer Thomason < spencer@5ninesolutions.com> wrote:
