Issue with sending fax with t.38
I'm attempting to use txfax in mod_spandsp to send a fax over t.38 to a fax machine at a PSTN number. The receiving side hangs up, after appearing to send a number of malformed RTP packets. "Ignoring invalid RTP packet size of 8 bytes." Can anyone explain this? opensips proxy is 1.2.3.4 fs gw is 1.2.3.5 fs originator is 1.2.3.6 Thanks, James

ring invalid RTP packet size of 8 bytes. is the T.38 box at the far end an old Cisco which has not been updated for a long time? It looks like you are getting T.38 packets on the RTP port, and Cisco used to do this by mistake. In fact, until they ripped out and replaced their T.38 engine, Cisco's was one of the buggiest.

The end device is a samsung fax machine off of the PSTN. It's an AT&T line, off of what appears to be a sonus switch. The originating device is a FS server which is using txfax. On 06/26/2012 10:31 AM, Steve Underwood wrote:
