I'd like to point out an issue I've seen. Every now and then someone asks a freeswitch question on forums such as the stack overflow forum, and usually they get no answer. I think this creates the impression for anyone that hasn't joined the IRC/mailing list that freeswitch isn't very well supported, which isn't true. If any of you can also support freeswitch in the stack overflow, I believe it will greatly help the community. besides, providing support on IRC/mailing list is SSSSOOOO 1990's Thanks, Shlomi Agiv
I'd noticed... I subscribe but can't help with most of the quetions. The tag page for freeswitch lets you get alerts of new questions: http://stackexchange.com/filters/26087/freeswitch They let you choose every 15 min, every 3 hours, or daily emails with *new* questions. (I don't know how to automatically be emailed about comments/new answers, I used the rss feed for that.) Perhaps it could/should go automatically to the list...? -Avi
I subscribed to FreeSWITCH and VoIP-related tags too, but some questions are really tough / answered by someone earlier. I think if list's email address will be subscribed to "freeswitch" tag at SO, the notifications about new questions will go to this list automagically, but they will not be questions itself?
Somehow I managed to subscribe to comments and answers to my messages, and they come to my email. But I can't find this setting anywhere now. Also I'm answering on stackexchange when I know something about the topic. On Thu, Sep 18, 2014 at 9:04 AM, Avi Marcus <avi@avimarcus.net> wrote:

Hello Shlomi, You are pretty relevant. Thanks for pointing out that most FS questions are not answered on stackexchange, it made me create an account, I'll do my possible to help as well. However, while IRC is so 90s (I can't disagree, emm), the people connected there are still very helpful (and you can chat with the authors, how cool is that?). found it. It's not on stackexchange, but on individual sites like stackoverflow.com: click your icon and there you see your personal statistics. Then click Preferences, and there you can subscribe to your inbox messages. Then all comments to your answers and comments will come to you by email.
