Yes! You can talk to many of the FreeSWITCH mailing list regulars live and in person. If you need more than just a few minutes then you might need to arrange an appointment with some of the guys so that they can plan their time. Ask around when you get there and most likely we will be able to put you in touch with a fellow attendee who is an expert in your subject. -MC

Yes Cluecon is for you!
Cluecon has a wide mix of users and developers and voip support people. Not just the uber-experienced guys, but also people just trying to learn what its about.
The presentations will be all over the place from the basics through advanced concepts.
But the original poster got it right when he said he seems to learn as much from other attendees as from the formal sessions. That’s what its all about.
Cluecon is a Conference, not a “tradeshow” where you see a few talks about people trying to get you to use their product, its about us technical people getting together and trading ideas, showing off things we have been working on, and networking with our peers.
Keep in mind, that Cluecon is Not the “FreeSWITCH” conference, but it is a Communications Conference. FreeSWITCH didn’t even exist at the first ClueCon.
So come out out, its fun, you will learn a lot, and you will get to interact with the “rock stars” of VoIP.

Most conferences I attend, I seem to learn as much around the other attendees as I do in the formal sessions.
If you have any thoughts I would greatly appreciate them. I also need to justify the expense...

Deadline to register is ASAP. :) We have people who register as late as the week prior to the event, although we really prefer that you register earlier so that we can know how many people are coming, get the name badges printed up beforehand, etc. Besides, the sooner you register, the better your chances are of going home with cool prizes. -MC -- Michael S Collins Twitter: @mercutioviz http://www.FreeSWITCH.org http://www.ClueCon.com http://www.OSTAG.org
The deadline is up to the day of the conference but each day sooner you run the risk of not getting into the hotel. We give a $300 discount from the admission price for staying in the same hotel where the conference takes place and we also give extra tickets for the raffle for those who register early. The sooner the better because it helps us to predict the food we need for lunch etc. On Mon, Jul 15, 2013 at 3:53 PM, Blake Priddy <bpriddy@bryantschools.org>wrote:

We don't have booths but we have displays and tables and access to the actual developers from these companies who give presentations on their devices and they often have samples with them. Many of the sponsors are hardware vendors who have donated devices to give away in the raffle. On Mon, Jul 15, 2013 at 5:57 PM, Ken Rice <krice@freeswitch.org> wrote:

By the way, this method works very well. Instead of a gauntlet of vendor booths you have a simple table, chairs, and possibly some demonstration items. It makes it very easy to sit down and have a conversation with reps from the given sponsor. Like Tony said, these are generally more technical individuals, not the sales types you'd typically see at a trade show. Also, the sponsors tend to be more relaxed because they don't feel obligated to man a booth all day long. I know for sure that the Yealink folks are going to bring a number of phones to set up and demo for our attendees. Many of our other sponsors will also have ways to demonstrate their offerings. In any case, you will definitely get a chance to talk to the people that matter. For example, from Flowroute we will have the co-founder of the company there. From Sangoma we have two engineers. Add to that the guy who wrote FreeSWITCH, the guy who wrote OpenSIPS, the guy who wrote Kamailio, the co-founder of 2600hz, the CTO of OnSIP/Junction Networks... the list goes on.
