Re: [Freeswitch-users] get channel status
Set hangup_after_bridge variable to false and run the info command after bridge, you will see a lot of variables with the channel's current status. You could later reference those variables directly in your xml / script dialplan. ---------- Forwarded message ----------

if you are using event_socket you can subscribe to the channel_state event and it will tell you every time the channel changes states. On Tue, Sep 30, 2008 at 1:29 AM, Baskar <yudha2008@gmail.com> wrote:

no, you want to subscribe to the events
telnet to event socket manually and type

then make a call and look at all the events and decide which ones you want so you can be more specific.
events channel_state channel_destroy <etc>

You need to handle each response from the server, no? Can you post your PHP code here? In Perl I would do something like this. # $data contains CHANNEL_ANSWER event stuff if ( $data =~ m/Answered-State: (\w+)/m ) { my $state = $1; print "Channel state is $state\n"; if ( $state eq 'answered' ) { # do whatever U need to do on an answer event } } -MC P.S. - I tested the regex with the data file you posted and it worked perfectly for me in Perl 5. I am using event socket for originating a call. My final goal is to display the outbound call status in the php program whether the destination call is ringing or answered or hangup. Hi, Let me explain bit more clear, I was dialing thru event socket in telnet. The events command I have given is events plain CHANNEL_CREATE CHANNEL_ANSWER CHANNEL_DESTROY for the above said command the events are coming only for my internal extensions, when the called outbound number answers the events are not getting parsed inside the telnet. But I cant able to get the status of the destination channel.
for example If I am dialing from a extension 1002 (source) to outbound number 9894929942 (Destination) I cant able to get the status of the destination number.
I am using event socket for originating a call.
My final goal is to display the outbound call status in the php program whether the destination call is ringing or answered or hangup.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't know PHP. If no one else here does either then you'll need to ask
this question on a PHP list or IRC channel.

P.S. – I tested the regex with the data file you posted and it worked perfectly for me in Perl 5. Since PHP is a Perl derivative I think you should be able to do this without too much hassle as long as you have a means of reading the socket data reliably and acting accordingly.

Hi, Now I can able to get the destination status by using the following originate command in event socket. Let me summarize what I did, 1. api originate sofia/internal/1002%172.20.176.31 &bridge(sofia/default/ 9894929942@172.20.176.254) 2. events plain CHANNEL_CREATE CHANNEL_ANSWER CHANNEL_HANGUP previously my originate command is api originate sofia/default/9894929942@172.20.176.254 1002 in the above statement my destination number seems to be 1002 (internal extension) so the destination status is internal status, I never used to get the external outbound status. After I changed the originate command now I can able to get the channel status for my outbound number. To add to Brian's thought... The "answer event" that you receive does have lots of information. You are interested in only one piece of that information, no? You'll need to parse the reply and grab only the line that contains "Answer-State: xxxxx" Did you say that you are using PHP for this? I'm 99.9% sure that PHP can easily parse something like this. You could probably even use a regex sledgehammer parse by doing something like this (Perl5 regex syntax): m/Answer-State: (\w+)/m <== The 'm' modifier is needed because of embedded newline chars in CHANNEL_ANSWER event $1 will contain 'answered' or whatever the answer state value is. Hope this helps. -MC ________________________________ From: freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org [mailto:freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] On Behalf Of Brian West Sent: Friday, October 03, 2008 10:20 AM To: freeswitch-users@lists.freeswitch.org Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] get channel status Yes if you parse the event using something like perl, ruby, php and get it... /b On Oct 3, 2008, at 12:10 PM, Gopal krishnan wrote: File attached On Fri, Oct 3, 2008 at 10:36 PM, Gopal krishnan <saigop@gmail.com> wrote: Hi, By giving event channel_answer in telnet console I get lots of variables, I am attaching it as a text file with this email. Hi I need to get the channel answer state for particular user. For example there is a GUI for outbound call where the a ajax program will run in the background of the program to get the answer state. after i originate a call from event socket the ajax program will start monitor the line answer state in the events plain CHANNEL_CREATE CHANNEL_ANSWER CHANNEL_HANGUP and also i can able to get the answer state as DIaling / Answered / Hangup by logging in one computer. In another stage when logging as two different users in two different computer, once the call is originated from the two computers the ajax program starts the monitoring of the answer state line, but what happens when i hangup the call in one computer its showing in all computers as hangup in the answer state since the other computer is in the call. Is there a api that I can get the channel answer state thru UUID. Is it possible? -- Thank you with regards, Gopal,
the unique-id header in the event tells you the uuid. On Mon, Nov 3, 2008 at 9:20 AM, Gopal krishnan <saigop@gmail.com> wrote:
Hi I need to get the channel answer state for particular user. For example there is a GUI for outbound call where the a ajax program will run in the background of the program to get the answer state. after i originate a call from event socket the ajax program will start monitor the line answer state in the events plain CHANNEL_CREATE CHANNEL_ANSWER CHANNEL_HANGUP and also i can able to get the answer state as DIaling / Answered / Hangup by logging in one computer.

if you have latest trunk you can test the new beta filter feature I am working on. try events all filter unique-id <some uuid> now you will only get events matching that uuid. On Tue, Nov 4, 2008 at 3:00 AM, Gopal krishnan <saigop@gmail.com> wrote:
