CDR: meaning of date and time variables
Hi all, I'm trying to understand the meaning (and difference) between some of the date and time variables that FreeSWITCH posts as CDR, using xml_cdr. I'm interested in particular in the variables below: **** Variables in Date/Time stamp: - start (as in start_stamp, start_epoch and start_uepoch) - - profile_start - - answer - stamp when call was answered - progress - - end - stamp when call was terminated **** Variables in Seconds, Milliseconds, Microseconds: - duration - bill - progress - progress_media - flow_bill I couldn't find any documentation on the data. If there is, could you please post the link? Otherwise is there anyone who could explain what the meaning is of these variables? Thanks, Birgit -- -- Birgit Arkesteijn, birgit@westhawk.co.uk, -- Westhawk Ltd, Albion Wharf, 19 Albion Street, Manchester M1 5LN, UK -- Company no: 1769350 -- Registered Office: -- 15 London Road, Stockton Heath, Warrington WA4 6SJ. Hi Brian, Thanks for your reply, but I'm not sure I understand your answer. Maybe I didn't make my question clear ... I'm not in doubt of the units of the variables, but of their meaning. The 5 vars below come each in a Seconds, Milliseconds AND Microseconds flavour. For example: billsec, billmsec and billusec. However, what is the difference between them? I mean how does 'duration' differ from 'bill', and from 'flow_bill'? Same with: **** Variables in Date/Time stamp: - start (as in start_stamp, start_epoch and start_uepoch) - - profile_start - - answer - stamp when call was answered - progress - - end - stamp when call was terminated Thanks, Birgit On 28/07/08 15:24, Brian West wrote:

Birgit, I have deciphered many of these. I will post my info when I get in front of my computer. I probably need to whip up a wiki page as well. I will work on that this week. -MC Sent from my iPhone On Jul 28, 2008, at 7:02 AM, Birgit Arkesteijn <birgit@westhawk.co.uk> wrote:

Hi Michael, That would be brilliant, thanks. When you've written a Wiki, would you mind posting the link? It sometimes take a while for Google to find it. Thanks, Birgit On 28/07/08 15:42, Michael S Collins wrote:

Will do. Also, if you search the list archives from a few months back you'll see that MikeJ and Tony answered some of my xmlcdr questions. I'm still AFK so I can't post a link to the thread just yet. I will be back in a few hours. -MC Sent from my iPhone On Jul 28, 2008, at 7:51 AM, Birgit Arkesteijn <birgit@westhawk.co.uk> wrote:

:( I am a slacker. Stand by and I will get an XML-CDR wiki page started and I'll get these vars documented first. Please give me an hour or so and I'll report back to the list. -MC
FYI, I've added stubs and info to the XML CDR wiki page. I'm still fleshing it out so keep checking back: http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_xml_cdr#Reference_Information If you have anything to add to this page please email me or email the list because I'm actively editing right now. Let's not have editing collisions. :) -MC On Thu, Jul 31, 2008 at 11:11 AM, Michael Collins <mcollins@fcnetwork.com>wrote:

Hi Mike, Great piece of work, thanks very much! Some comments: - Maybe you would add to the documentation that microseconds is 10^6 seconds, just for completeness sake. - In Configuration Options, you are missing: * log-b-leg * disable-100-continue * ignore-cacert-check I've just spend some days writing a servlet that will take the XML_CDR, flatting it and write it to a table. I tried to describe all the variables (except for app-log & application) as part of the table documentation. Most of it is guess work. I'm sure that I've missed more than just those! I was focusing on the time-related chan vars but hopefully soon we'll get everything down. Thanks for collating all of these SIP-related vars. I'll get them integrated into the page as soon as I have a few minutes to spare... -MC
