Specify caller id when originating
Hello I'm trying to specify caller_id_name and caller_id_num when originating, but it doesn't seem to work: originate {caller_id_name=Voicemail,caller_id_number=8888}sofia/mydomain.com/jonas voicemail The default caller id/number is still being used. //Jonas
Try effective_caller_id_number and effective_caller_id_name /b On Sep 5, 2007, at 9:33 AM, Jonas Gauffin wrote:

Same thing (default caller id/number is still used). What's the difference between those effective_caller_id_number and caller_id_number? The wiki lists both, but doesnt explain why they exist. On 9/5/07, Brian West <brian.west@mac.com> wrote:

Can you provide a sip trace to show this? effective_ prefix should override the info and work. /b On Sep 5, 2007, at 9:59 AM, Jonas Gauffin wrote:

Check and see if it is being set by the Telco. I know in my area (British Columbia, Canada) our PRI provider (Telus) needs to change their ends configuration to "Per station billing" before we can set our own Outbound Caller ID. Jeremy
