hello guys, i encounter a compilation error after i execute "make install" command w/ the ff messages: Compiling /usr/local/src/freeswitch/src/mod/endpoints/mod_gsmopen/mod_gsmopen.cpp... Compiling /usr/local/src/freeswitch/src/mod/endpoints/mod_gsmopen/mod_gsmopen.cpp ... /usr/local/src/freeswitch/src/mod/endpoints/mod_gsmopen/mod_gsmopen.cpp: In function 'switch_status_t mod_gsmopen_load(switch_loadable_module_interface_t**, switch_memory_pool_t*)': /usr/local/src/freeswitch/src/mod/endpoints/mod_gsmopen/mod_gsmopen.cpp:2158: error: invalid conversion from 'switch_status_t (*)(const char*, const char*, const char*, const char*, const char*, const char*, const char*)' to 'switch_status_t (*)(switch_event_t*)' make[1]: *** [mod_gsmopen.lo] Error 1 make: *** [install] Error 1 i've got the latest build, by doing "make current": FreeSWITCH Version 1.0.head (git-4ceca18 2011-10-21 20-38-41 -0500) pls help me point out the problem. tks, -nandy
I just updated to git 4ceca1890d10787be6c86446599b95f63d60b014 and cross compiled mod_gsmopen without a problem. ----- FreeSWITCH hosted on a Seagate DockStar with OpenWRT and ONLY consumes 3 Watts of electricity. -- View this message in context: http://freeswitch-users.2379917.n2.nabble.com/gsmopen-compile-error-tp692034... i tried a fresh installation to make sure there are no stale files. the FS build was ok and running w/ no problem. when i build gsmopen, i encounter the same error. btw, i'm on: Centos 5.4 kernel 2.6.18-238.12.1.el5. gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-48) -nandy On Sun, Oct 23, 2011 at 12:08 AM, mazilo < Nabble_01394@slickdeals.endjunk.com> wrote:

I don't have a solution for your problem. But I strongly recommend that you update your CentOS 5.4 server to CentOS 5.7 as soon as possible. Your current 5.4 server has a ton of security issues and makes it vulnerable to root exploits. And that is never a good idea for a FreeSWITCH server. All you need to do to update your server from 5.4 to 5.7 is run as root: yum update If you want to see how many updates this will apply then run as root: yum list updates More information available here: http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/5/index.html Regards, Patrick
All I can say is mod_gsmopen requires some libraries, i.e. tiff, spandsp, gsmlib, gsmme, alsa sound, etc. Make sure you have all those libraries installed. ----- FreeSWITCH hosted on a Seagate DockStar with OpenWRT and ONLY consumes 3 Watts of electricity. -- View this message in context: http://freeswitch-users.2379917.n2.nabble.com/gsmopen-compile-error-tp692034...
