Freeswitch win32 error (Procedure entry point inet_pton could not be located in the dynamic link library WS2_32.dll)
Hi, Over the days, my interest in FreeSwitch is overwhelmingly increasing. I love this software. I am sure that one day i will be competent enough to contribute to this project. I get this error when i compile and run freeswitch using visual studio 2008 express edition. (Procedure entry point inet_pton could not be located in the dynamiclink library WS2_32.dll) This is happening in svn revision 8099. Any help will be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance. Warm Regards, B Karthik
Hi, I have the same problem with 2008 express. Mike told to me, he has no problem with 2008 professional. (It is boundled with SDK as far as i know) Make sure your SDK is configured properly: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms235626(VS.80).aspx However it didn't help for me... I am using Platform SDK 2008, and you? Regards, Tamas

if the problem persists, we will just have to add our own implementation of that function to work with versions of windows that do not support it. From what I hear, windows is making their runtime POSIX compliant so soon all this stuff will go away assuming everyone upgrades.....Well.... It is windows after all I think we are all used to upgrading it to fix stuff =p On Mon, Apr 14, 2008 at 6:28 AM, Tamas Cseke <cstomi.levlist@gmail.com> wrote:

I have some replacement functions for this. I can't figure out how this is working in my copy, but I will switch it up to the replacements to address. Mike On Apr 14, 2008, at 9:36 AM, Anthony Minessale wrote:
