Hello, Just received my bandwidth.com provisioning email with my sip_trunks and DID numbers. However, part of the instructions say I can¹t use a username and password when connecting to the gateway. I tried leaving the username and password blank in the gateway sip profile but it keeps giving me an error message, Error: username param is REQUIRED. Anyone ever setup a gateway with Bandwidth and how does one get around the username param requirement. Thanks Sean
in reality you don't need one... but you can put nobody in both. /b On Mar 29, 2010, at 8:49 PM, Sean Holt wrote:

I believe you need to still specify the username and password... but use a "dummy" string. from memory, they just get ignored but doing this satisfies freeswitch. On Tue, Mar 30, 2010 at 11:49 AM, Sean Holt <sean@obscuradigital.com> wrote:

Sean, as th other already said, you can put any string as the username and password, but I think you need to add this in the gateway params: <param name="register" value="false"/> David Ponzone Direction Technique email: david.ponzone@ipeva.fr tel: 01 74 03 18 97 gsm: 06 66 98 76 34 Service Client IPeva tel: 0811 46 26 26 www.ipeva.fr - www.ipeva-studio.com Ce message et toutes les pièces jointes sont confidentiels et établis à l'intention exclusive de ses destinataires.
