Registration Failed with status DNS Error [503[
This is probably a newbie problem, but I've been knocking my head over it for a few hours this morning, so I thought I'd ask for some help. I was running FreeSWITCH 1.2.7 on CentOS 5.8 (as a VM), and it was working fine. I upgraded to the latest FreeSWITCH 1.5.14b on CentOS 6.5. I still need to configure SELinux, so I turned that off for now. I also was suspecting the firewall, so I turned that off as well. I copied the configuration over, and the voicemail recordings, etc. Now we can receive calls, but we can't place external calls. We're using FlowRoute, and I'm getting this: 2014-09-24 13:37:42.695288 [NOTICE] sofia_reg.c:427 Registering flowroute 2014-09-24 13:37:42.695288 [ERR] sofia_reg.c:2292 flowroute Registration Failed with status DNS Error [503]. failure #2 2014-09-24 13:37:43.715285 [WARNING] sofia_reg.c:482 flowroute Failed Registration [503], setting retry to 30 seconds. The DNS seems to resolve sip.flowroute.com just fine, when using ping. And incoming calls are working! Where should I look next? By the way, I can call the FreeSWITCH conference line, so it can DNS lookup conference.freeswitch.org just fine. -- Steve
More info: I figured out that I probably shouldn't be running a Beta version on a production system, so I finally found the instructions to get yum to work. (Those instructions, by the way, are not easy to find.) I then finally copied all the config files over to the proper location, and thought I had it working when I was able to place a call. But then, it happened again. Now sometimes I get this: 2014-09-24 17:06:54.615290 [WARNING] sofia_reg.c:482 flowroute Failed Registration [908], setting retry to 30 seconds. and sometimes I get this: 2014-09-24 17:07:26.775290 [WARNING] sofia_reg.c:482 flowroute Failed Registration [503], setting retry to 30 seconds. The status page on Flowroute.com shows that I am registered. I'm now running version 1.4.8~64bit. -- Steve On Wed, Sep 24, 2014 at 1:43 PM, Steven Schoch <schoch+freeswitch.org@xwin32.com> wrote:
