One way audio problem while using FreeTDM
Hi, In one of the client servers, an old version of FreeSWITCH(FreeSWITCH Version 1.0.head) and a fairly new version of FreeTDM(wanpipe-3.5.28) is being used. Recently a new problem is being observed, where when an incoming call via Sangoma E1 card is redirected to a ring group which rings 3 internal SNOM extensions, and the call is answered on one of them, audio is heard by the caller, but nothing is heard on the callee end. I have captrued the network trace, and I see that there is exchange of RTP packets between the ports specified in the SIP trace (as well as the AUDIO RTP log of freeswitch) Any pointers on how to debug this issue further? Thanks!
Just because the audio is being sent from Freeswitch doesn't mean it's getting to the phones. Siri MM <sirimmfs@gmail.com> wrote:

Thanks Alex, What I have done is, to capture packets on SNOM, and record audio on Freeswitch. When I convert the network trace to audio, I cannot hear caller voice on SNOM. However, freeswitch recorded file has both streams. Freeswitch server and SNOMs are on same local network with no NAT between them On Thu, Dec 12, 2013 at 3:55 PM, Alex Balashov <abalashov@evaristesys.com>wrote:

So, on the SNOM, you are seeing two-way RTP, and when you play the incoming RTP out, you can hear it, but you can't physically hear it on the handset? -- Alex Balashov - Principal Evariste Systems LLC 235 E Ponce de Leon Ave Suite 106 Decatur, GA 30030 United States Tel: +1-678-954-0670 Web: http://www.evaristesys.com/, http://www.alexbalashov.com/
No what I meant was, the RTP capture on SNOM is consistent with the beahvior - I can neither hear anything on the SNOm, nor does the RTP capture have incoming RTP stream. However, FreeSWITCH recorded file seems to have both streams On Thu, Dec 12, 2013 at 5:47 PM, Alex Balashov <abalashov@evaristesys.com>wrote:

Right, so I repeat my statement that Freeswitch is sending the RTP to the SNOM, but the SNOM is not getting it. :-) Perhaps if you posted the signaling capture between Freeswitch and the SNOM it might be possible to make heads or tails of what's going on. You should also feel free to send me the full captures privately and I'll take a look at them for you, though please do identify the IPs involved as I don't know your network. -- Alex Balashov - Principal Evariste Systems LLC 235 E Ponce de Leon Ave Suite 106 Decatur, GA 30030 United States Tel: +1-678-954-0670 Web: http://www.evaristesys.com/, http://www.alexbalashov.com/
Hello All, Any other inputs? Any log that I could look for clues? On Thu, Dec 12, 2013 at 6:02 PM, Alex Balashov <abalashov@evaristesys.com>wrote:

I agree with Alex on what he suggested in the previous response. On Dec 12, 2013, at 5:00 PM, Siri MM <sirimmfs@gmail.com> wrote:
