Calling Phone Behind Netgear Router (with NAT)
We are trying call a phone that resides behind a Netgear router (with NAT). The Bria softphone registers and we can make calls from the softphone, but we cannot make calls to the softphone. WAN ------------ public IP -------- 10.10.10.xx ---------------- |Freeswitch|<---------->|Router|<----------->|Bria softphone| ------------ -------- ---------------- Does anyone know of good documentation/example showing this configuration? I successfully turned off the SIP ALG in a NetGear using this procedure:
Unplug power from unit Place unit underneath front driver-side tire of your car Start car, put in drive, remove foot from brake As car moves forward, hear crunching noise When crunching noise ends apply brake and place car in reverse Remove foot from brake As car moves backward, hear more crunching sounds Repeat as needed When crunching sounds have subsided the SIP ALG is successfully deactivated. -MC

Jerry, Had the same problem with the 338 router and a 114. Even after the beta firmware it is was broken. I replaced them with linux firewalls problem gone Tom
