Just doing a quick poll to see who would like to see IAX in FreeSWITCH with all the bells and whistles? Brian West sip:brian@freeswitch.org
Please also indicate just how much you'd like it, i.e. if you are willing to contribute to the devs for their time and effort. -MC

We would support this. Teliax has been doing some testing on FS and would need support for a full fledged, scalable IAX channel to go any further. I think anthm has the scope of the project in mind. If the community is interested we'll gladly contribute $$$ as well as dev support on an ongoing basis. David On Jul 8, 2008, at 4:22 PM, Brian West wrote:

NICE!
I plan on using the iaxmodem project's code to link hylafax to freeswitch, but I don't know how many bells and whistles that would require. Brian West wrote:

I'm afraid I'm a newbie to soft telephony. Would you mind explaining what you mean, please? Brian West wrote:

I would like to, as I could see it as another way to interoperate and also find more converts... I'd add it myself even but I've been too swamped to do any coding right now. :-/ That being said, SIP+RTP is still my preferred protocol arrangement. -- Yossi Neiman Cartis Solutions, Inc. http://www.cartissolutions.com Brian West wrote:

Me,Me,Me! (but you knew that :-) Actually, having just done a 20 line firewall config to get sip/stun/ rtp working IAX's "one port to rule them all, one port to bind them" has pretty big benefits for n00bs too. Tim. On 11 Jul 2008, at 18:16, Yossi Neiman wrote:

Me too!!! I spend 2-3 days pulling my hairs out getting bridging in SIP working. It worked in no time doing this in IAX! Birgit On 14/07/08 11:39, Tim Panton wrote:
