Help Required for Outbound call
?Hi, We have successfully integrated FreeSwitch with our current web based IVR application by "httapi", Its working fine as per our requirement. We have setup FreeSwitch on our "linux EC2 AWS Server", and its successfully handshaking our IVR application with FreeSwitch. Now, we need to integrate out?bound call in our application, i.e. "to make an international call" or "Speak to Customer Care Executive". I have looked about httapi "dial" command for this purpose, but I am not able to make a call by this command. Please suggest me whether we can make a Outbound call by HTTAPI "Dial" command or Is there any other ways to do this task. Please share some examples of XML Request which we need to send in FreeSwitch for making a call via HTTAPI. Also, we are planning to integrate "NEXMO" in our application. Please share some helpful links for integrating it with FreeSwitch if possible. Thanks, Regards, Manish Talwar
mod_httapi is for controlling calls that have already been established. To generate new calls from a third-party system you'll need to use the event socket and the originate API command. You should start here for event socket info: https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Event_socket#Inbound Look up the originate command and try it out from fscli. Once you figure out how to generate calls manually with originate commands at fscli then you can work on having your 3rd-party app do those calls via the event socket. -MC On Tue, Oct 21, 2014 at 5:49 AM, Manish Talwar <manish.talwar@zaristo.com> wrote:

Hi, As you suggested, I have tried to make a call. I am able to call from our IVR app to SIP ID (FSClient). But I got some problem while calling to mobile number. We are trying to integrate Nexmo a third-party system? for calling to mobile (Domestic or International call both), we have creating an account in Nexmo and added one US number in Nexmo panel. As per Nexmo details,I have make the changes in FreeSwitch and added Gateway file under Sip_Profile/External folder & configured default FreeSwitch dialplan (01_example.com.xml and 01_custom.xml) . When I make a call to a mobile number, its running a dialplan: Dialplan: portaudio/5000 Action bridge(sofia/gateway/192.168.1.140/19818753995)? and after that its hangup and throw an error as: 2014-10-27 16:54:01.232344 [INFO] mod_dptools.c:3234 Originate Failed. Cause: NORMAL_TEMPORARY_FAILURE Please find the log for this call and also gateway & configured dialplan as an attachment and suggest me what do I need to for making a call to mobile number. You'll need to inspect the SIP traffic between FreeSWITCH and the gateway to see what is happening. I suspect that the other SIP server is failing the call but you won't know why until you start digging and the first place to do that is the SIP traffic. -MC
?Hi, I have make some changes in FreeSwitch request, and sending my request to "sip:b9c280dd:7678b8c4@sip.nexmo.com" (here, b9c280dd is api_key and 7678b8c4? is api_secret of Nexmo account). I feel it has start ?communicating with Nexmo for making a call on Mobile number but not able to make a call due to "Unauthorized" response. I am using FreeSwitch httapi "Dial" command for sending this request to Nexmo, and setting all required parameter (prefix with "sip_h_?") before sending it to Nexmo (as mentioned in attached log file), But I am getting Missing Authenticate Header!? response from Nexmo and its hang up the FreeSwitch call after CALL_REJECTED? from Nexmo. I have trace a SIP traffic and please find a log file as an attachment. I need to set Authenticate Header and all required parameter of Nexmo API by FreeSwitch "Dial" command, please suggest me for the same. I believe I answered this already. The HTTAPI system is for calls already established and therefore is not the tool you need for generating new calls. You need to use the event socket and the originate API. I strongly recommend that you spend some time manually generating calls at fs_cli and work out the details you need on the dialstring and then work on automating it with event socket and ESL. -MC On Wed, Oct 22, 2014 at 10:47 AM, Manish Talwar <manish.talwar@zaristo.com> wrote:

?Hi, I missed out your last reply, I just checked it again and got it now. Thanks for your suggestion, I will try to use event socket and ESL as you mentioned.
