I found out the cause : When the mod_opal module is loaded the FS process gets killed with a kill -HUP. I thought it would be good for everyone to know. Apostolos Pantsiopoulos wrote:

I am doing a "killall -HUP freeswitch" in order to achieve cdr-csv log rotation and the process gets killed instead. A few days ago it worked fine. I also noticed that a few days ago when I hit Ctrl+C freeswitch did not exit. Now, when I do this the process gets terminated immediately. What could be the cause of all this?
