Options to run FreeSwitch on non-X86 devices?
Hello I searched the wiki and Google , but found only a couple of mentions about compiling/running FreeSwitch on ARM processors, including this one: http://lists.freeswitch.org/pipermail/freeswitch-users/2012-May/083996.html Some people run FS on the following non-X86 devices: - Seagate DockStar - Pogoplug - SheevaPlug - Raspberry Pi (SwitchPi) Are there other non-X86 recommended devices to run FS from SOHO use? Thank you.

Has someone tried cross-compiling and running FS on the CuBox? It's powered by the ARM v6/v7-compliant Marvell Armada 510 (88AP510): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CuBox www.marvell.com/application-processors/armada-500/
We have Freeswitch running on Raspberry Pi Model B (CPU ARM1176JZF-S 700 MHz) as a SIP/OpenVPN Proxy. Here we compiled Freeswitch from git. Compiling took some time, but Freeswitch is running stable for months now. We also managed to run Freeswitch on OpenWRT with a Buffalo WZR-HP-AG300H Router (CPU Atheros AR7161@680MHz). There are precompiled OpenWRT packages available. Best regards Peter On 09/06/13 11:39, Fred-145 wrote:

more interesting, how does FreeSWITCH behave on big-endian CPU's,. like SPARC (or ARM or MIPS in big-endian mode) ________________________________ From: Peter Steinbach <lists@telefaks.de> To: FreeSWITCH Users Help <freeswitch-users@lists.freeswitch.org> Sent: Friday, September 6, 2013 6:03 PM Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] Options to run FreeSwitch on non-X86 devices? Thanks Peter. Did you compile FS on the device itself, or did you cross-compile on a PC? I'll read up on those two devices. I was looking for something tiny, quiet, and that doesn't use much power since this is just for SOHO users.
