Hi, Which is the best method of doing call broadcasting in freeswitch? In asterisk we can do this by creating call files and asterisk handles the rest. How does freeswitch offers this feature? Do we need to use mod_event_socket only? Is it faster enough for this requirement?
Ruchir, I have been using the event socket with good success. It's too much to discuss right here so I will try and start a wiki page on it. -MC Sent from my iPhone On Aug 10, 2008, at 2:03 PM, Ruchir Brahmbhatt <ruchir.brahmbhatt@ecosmob.com

Are you originating calls sequentially using event socket? Thanks, Ruchir Brahmbhatt Director Ecosmob Technologies Pvt. Currently I am by using "originate" but I've briefly experimented with "bgapi originate" which allows for asynchronous communications on the event socket. I haven't yet written my call control app so for now I am just using a perl script that sends an originate, waits one second, then repeats. I fully intend to build a real call control system one of these days. -MC Sent from my iPhone On Aug 12, 2008, at 1:35 AM, Ruchir Brahmbhatt <ruchir.brahmbhatt@ecosmob.com

Is it possible to fire thousands of calls this way? -----Original Message----- From: Michael S Collins <msc@freeswitch.org> Reply-To: freeswitch-users@lists.freeswitch.org To: freeswitch-users@lists.freeswitch.org <freeswitch-users@lists.freeswitch.org> Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] Call broadcasting Date: Tue, 12 Aug 2008 06:52:37 -0700 Currently I am by using "originate" but I've briefly experimented with "bgapi originate" which allows for asynchronous communications on the event socket.
