Hi Brian. I can confirm that media flows do exist, although the byte pattern that i get with ngrep looks always the same when a call the local_stream://moh. The media pattern for playback(local_stream://moh) can be seen here<http://pastebin.freeswitch.org/21732> . The media pattern for playback(tone_stream://path=${base_dir}/conf/tetris.ttml) which is *audible*can be seen here <http://pastebin.freeswitch.org/21733>. In the meanwhile I've updated my code tree from commit (456f69a62b2fa4df7ac8438b30ba68e74c2a04fc) which corresponds to v1.2stable FS 1.2.14 to commit (cb4a26af0d7121f0e32a53333182b66ce9ca9747). After the update i wasn't able to compile again (i'm trying to figure out what is causing the endless loop), you can see why in the attached email which I've sent to the freeswitch-dev mailing list last Friday. You're moving too slow. Try HEAD of 1.2. By the time you wen't and got 1.2.14 1.2.15 is released with 1.2.16 in the wings. On Tue, Dec 10, 2013 at 10:58 AM, Nuno Reis <nreis@wavecom.pt> wrote:

Hi Anthony. Thanks for getting involved in this thread. Only today I've been able to compile the latest stable on my CentOS 6.4 production pipe. I have been dealing with the endless loop issue (FS-5956) during compile time until now. I've manage to figure out the problem and rolled-back some changes on some Makefiles. A patch showing those changes follows attached. I've also attached the patch in jira's (FS-5956). I hope that can be helpful to solve that annoying problem, it seems to appear only in CentOS (maybe on other redhat based distros). Regarding the playback of local_sream://moh i can tell that it is solved in v1.2stable HEAD. Thank you Brian for trying to help me hunting down this issue, although for now everything is working again as expected, no further action is needed. After the update i wasn't able to compile again (i'm trying to figure out what is causing the endless loop), you can see why in the attached email which I've sent to the freeswitch-dev mailing list last Friday.
Looking forward to hear from you again.

Hi guys.
I've just tried to compile the latest stable 1.2v branch and I'm getting stuck on an endless process fork as seen here<http://pastebin.freeswitch.org/21724>(ps fax output)
This is a freeswitch RPM production pipe system on a centOS 6.4 x86_64.
The latest version successfully compiled here was commit (456f69a62b2fa4df7ac8438b30ba68e74c2a04fc).
Should i open another Jira for this? It looks like FS-5956 already addresses this issue or something quite similar.
Looking forward to hear from you.

I can confirm that media flows do exist, although the byte pattern that i get with ngrep looks always the same when a call the local_stream://moh. The media pattern for playback(local_stream://moh) can be seen here. The media pattern for playback(tone_stream://path=${base_dir}/conf/tetris.ttml) which is audible can be seen here.
Looking forward to hear from you again.

---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Nuno Reis <nreis@wavecom.pt> Date: Fri, Dec 6, 2013 at 7:30 PM Subject: endless recusive process fork during build of latest stable in centOS 6.4 To: freeswitch-dev@lists.freeswitch.org
Hi guys.
I've just tried to compile the latest stable 1.2v branch and I'm getting stuck on an endless process fork as seen here (ps fax output)

Hi guys!
An update on this issue, local_stream also works fine in Version 1.5.7b git 7a77d2f. I'll try to update my stable version from 1.2.14 to the latest stable and let's see what happens. I'll update again when i have more info.

This issue is happening accross several FSs running 1.2.14. The only FSs where i'm able to hear moh are on the old 1.2.3 versions.
Anyone experiencing the same thing? Any hints?
Looking forward to hear from you.
