Re: [Freeswitch-users] Update on Brian West's condition
Hi Folks, We would like to help out and will do the same thing Norm did - for this week. So Star Telecom will match total donations between the last conf call and end-of-day Wednesday, up to $1,000. So, giddyup and give us something to match J. Best Regards, Ivan Kovacevic Star Telecom | www.startelecom.ca T: + 18557827835 x205 On Feb 16, 2012, at 3:56 PM, Ken Rice wrote:

Make sure when you send payments they are personal gifts. Paypal doesn't take any money out. /b On Feb 24, 2012, at 11:07 AM, João Mesquita wrote:

This is great news! Thanks Ivan - it is truly appreciated. *EVERYONE* in the FreeSWITCH community misses Brian. He does a tremendous amount of work for all of us and we got an object lesson in just how valuable his contributions really are. Another update: Brian is being moved to room 4421 at St. Francis hospital, so you can send cards, flowers, cash, etc. to that location. If you really, really want to make Brian feel better then see if you can track down this item<http://www.walmart.com/ip/Dr.-Pepper-Men-s-Pajama-Pants-in-a-Can/10196872>and send it over. His last set was destroyed in a freak laundry accident. Thanks again to everyone who has sent their well wishes (and funds) to help Brian. This is a great community and I am very happy to be a part of it! -Michael

I *hate* freak laundry accidents! Gabe
IMPORTANT UPDATE I just got word from Brian's sister Melanie that Brian is not being moved to the 4th floor after all. We'll keep you posted on his whereabouts. In the meantime you can still fire up those paypal accounts and make sure that Ivan is going to match all those dollars coming in. :) Thanks! -MC On Fri, Feb 24, 2012 at 10:18 AM, Michael Collins <msc@freeswitch.org>wrote:

I think the bigger question is whether or not Ivan will be matching Dr. Pepper pajama donations. :D --Tim
Definitely not. I thank everyone for supporting me thru this major surgery that I went thru. I should be released from the hospital today and that depends on if I can take the pain after the tube is removed. I'll have almost two weeks of rest and recovery after that maybe less depending on how fast this heals up. Star Telecom already hit the 1,000 match for donations. I would like to thank them. It seems the bills have already started stacking up for me when I get home. I'll send out another note when I'm on my way home or what ever happens once the last tube is removed. Thanks, Brian
Update yet again. The Dr. showed up seems my lung did collapse again but it will take 72 more hours of suction to verify if its fixed. If its not fixed they are doing another surgery to make it stick using some powder that makes your lung sticky so it will stick to my thoracic cavity and not let it collapse. It will then be another 72 hours or so on the suction before they could remove the tubes. Best case is 72 hours from now… worst case next week sometime. Thank you all for your support. Trying to not go insane in here. /b On Feb 27, 2012, at 9:22 AM, Brian West wrote:
