mod_lua won't compile on a clean build. Had to copy lua source files to mod_lua/lua to make it work. You may want to look into that.

I patched master to use lua 5.2, not sure how well it will work cos I have only minimal code to test atm but it compiles and runs scripts.

Not unless there is a good reason to. The API changed, and we don't use system lua so it shouldn't make a difference that debian changed.

Debian 7 moves to lua 5.2. FreeSWITCH has not plans to move to 5.2?
