There was no reason at all to mirror the files, it was hosted on a geo diverse CDN network, We are moving away from that to a more controlled system that we maintain to ease the deployment of the deb and yum repo's as the previous CDN would mess that up from time to time leaving the repos in an inconsistent state.  If anyone has systems they wish to donate to mirrors then email krice@freeswitch.org, we'll be deploying them using geo dns on Route 53 as systems are added so we can make sure you'll always be routed to the nearest mirror... (In addition to listing them by hostname if you choose to not be routed to the closest mirror)

Thanks,

Is there an open list of public mirrors? It would be great to have one. Also it would be great to structurize the server a bit, and move old debs somewhere to a separate folder.

Due to our recent infrastructure changes I can now see the complete picture of who is being abusive to our files mirror. I'll continue to monitor and block abusive IP addresses, If you wish to mirror files.freeswitch.org please do so via emailing krice@freeswitch.org and we can arrange something a little less abusive to our resources.

Thanks,
