Top right of the screen :  "Tools" ( with the gear beside it )

http://fisheye.freeswitch.org/changelog/~br%3Dv1.2.stable/freeswitch.git?view=all&max=30&RSS=true
or it appears you can find any "changelog" url and put "?RSS=true" on the end.

Those seem good suggestions...

Releases are regularly but not -that- frequent. A blog post for each one is perhaps a little much, but a website page (eg RSS) listing the current version and release history could be useful.

I suspect you can pull a RSS feed of tags off fisheye...

Perhaps there should be a dedicated release announcement list, for those that don't want/need the volume of the users list. (which of course gets cross posted to the main list)

Or an RSS feed of the new tags/releases.

I agree with Ken - we need to make sure that we have all of the announcement avenues covered. We also need to spread the word that anyone who wants to know what the latest 1.2 version is just needs to use git since that will always be the final word.

There is an annoucement made on every release via multiple mechanisms, the weekly conference call, emails to this list, the collins mentions them in the weekly notes, and they are actually tagged in git (which shows up in multiple places)....

What I’m trying to figure out, is how are people missing these announcements so we can address that, we don’t always post a latest release note to the website, as minor releases happen on a regular basis

Hello everybody

I'm a FreeSWITCH user for about 6 months now. What still baffles me is how to find out about new FreeSWITCH releases. Some releases are posted on the FreeSWITCH homepage http://www.freeswitch.org/ (e.g. 1.2.9), but not all of them (e.g. 1.2.10). And even these posts don't contain any information about the updates/changes/bugfixes in the release. Google and wiki search didn't help either. So here's my questions:

- Where do you announce new FreeSWITCH releases? Neither the FreeSWITCH homepage nor the FreeSWITCH wiki nor the FreeSWITCH mailing lists seem to provide such announcements.

- Where can I find detailed release notes or change logs for each new FreeSWITCH release with a list of new features, bugfixes and other changes in that release? Neither the FreeSWITCH homepage nor the FreeSWITCH wiki nor the FreeSWITCH mailing lists nor the FreeSWITCH source code (ChangeLog still ends with 1.2.7 in 1.2.10) seem to provide such information.

Thanks a lot for any help,
Markus von Arx
