Hi Michael,

Thanks for the reply.

mod_voicemail already detects that the user doesn't have voicemail enabled:
2014-01-15 07:58:49.997438 [WARNING] mod_voicemail.c:2398 User [3402@xx.xx.xx.xx] have voicemail disabled

The issue that I have is the IVR message succeeding this: it just says "Good bye" and hangs up,  without actually giving the user more information (I was hoping to hear something like "Voicemail disabled, good bye"). Is there any way I could modify the current behavior to add some more IVR messages before hanging up?

There is no notion of disabling a voicemail user in freeswitch itself that i can recall but you could easily do this with a user directory lookup for the user to get a var to check, or some other way to lookup if the user has voicemail enabled.

For example, if voicemail is disabled for a user, but the user tries to access his voicemail box, the prompt just says "Good bye" and hangs up - is there a way I could add some additional recording in this scenario, such as "Voicemail is not enabled, good bye" ?
