that trace is the old one while i was testing calls from VC to local FS clients as i was told but now im trying VC to pstn through gateway which always generates a 183 and in order for me test if ringback is actually working i had to ignore early media on the bridge, then tested sip device to pstn and i get ringback but when trying VC to pstn still no ringback, actually the early media event is triggered in verto but for some odd reason VC client hear no ringtone at all

do u want me to get a new trace for VC to pstn with the 183 from gateway?

currently i tried this, set a custom ringback tone and then pre_answer but still VC client cant hear no ring whatsoever, bear in mind i have late negotiate and inherit codec sets but that shouldnt an issue as i use g711u throughout so that negotiates fines and VC client now gets a early media event after trying but still audio doesnt start in the browser unless the called party answers

im already on the latest master, i git pull everyday and recompile to test latest changes

The bell sound is for unanswered incoming calls not for ringing indication on outgoing calls.
The trace provided has no 183 in it, only 180.  If you want those to have ringback, the ringback variable must be set.

Just remembered that I had same issue with one provider as Anthony described. I think that provider started to send 183 and you get this event in verto.

on the inbound leg from verto you need to set the ringback variable.  Your remote pstn call is not sending any inband ringing and Verto does not support ringing indication like 180.

thanks for the reply, the logs i gave u r with it set to debug level 10 in verto config, what im guessing is it never sends to client with presence disabled in it but the situation changes when u enable presence as then it tries to send using presence but then VC never understands it. i guess checking the code for mod_verto would reveal y it isnt sending the ringing state to client.

ys i understand its cluecon and u guys might be very busy with it, i can wait, not an issue

You can enable verto debug logs in verto.conf.xml with param name debug and see if mod_verto is sending back the ringing state, we're in the middle of the ClueCon so it may take some time to answer you
