I got passed that error and then hit the next one that you did when you were originally installing it.

Another problem is that sometimes the symlinks for ptlib-config are not set correctly. Setting the symlink in our case did not work. So then simply copy the file
find / -name ptlib-config
cp /found_dir/ptlib-config /usr/bin/ptlib-config
