In vars.xml add "opus" to the global_codec_prefs and outbound_codec_prefs variables and remove any codecs you don't want:

<X-PRE-PROCESS cmd="set" data="global_codec_prefs=opus,G722,PCMU,PCMA,GSM"/>
<X-PRE-PROCESS cmd="set" data="outbound_codec_prefs=opus,G722,PCMU,PCMA,GSM"/>

make sure mod_opus is loaded in modules.conf.xml

restart FreeSWITCH
