It -might- return some unused memory to the system when you run it,
but it wouldn't stop it growing again.

btw: how to be sure im running the correct fs ?.... i mean ... the version from command line returns just "FreeSWITCH Version 1.0.head (git-)" ... any chance it can return the commit-id or something ?
