I have a setup similar to yours, and I’m using mod_event_socket with detect_speech command/DETECTED_SPEECH event to get the transcription.

Although I think the product name is Nuance Recognizer (NR9), the Speech Server covers only the MRCP protocol and relies on NR9 for the speech recognition.
