thanks, there was a link for doing it on Rackspace cloud , that's why I thought it could be possible. also in the wiki it's been mentioned that :
"Skypopen runs on Virtual Machines"

What about snd-dummy? and if yes, can the installer be changed to use that instead?

zcat /proc/config.gz | sudo tee /usr/src/linux/.config > /dev/null
I get:
gzip: /proc/config.gz: No such file or directory
tee: /usr/src/linux/.config: Not a directory

Any help would be much appreciated.
