Yes you are correct.  The Bria Softphone has a setting under ContactProfile/Advanced.../Account menu which is required to be the softphone's extension (not blank and not the extension that is being subscribed to).  After I set this field to the softphone's extension, FS starting reporting the the contact's presence status.
