I’m not great with GIT.

I used this command 

git clone -b v1.2.stable git://git.freeswitch.org/freeswitch.git

how do I set autocrlf=false?

You have probably forgotten to set autocrlf=false (in git config) when cloning the git repo. It's a classic by now :)
