You may want to face the facts now that with WebRTC only the latest browser version is ever targeted.  No browser expects you to run older versions or cares that they function.  Those days are over when it comes to these apps.
WebRTC is a moving target so help move it along by only working on bleeding edge things for about a year.  This time next year, you will probably have a stable env.


PS, when you agree to share the camera on FF, instead of just pressing yes, hit the little arrow in the corner of the yes box and choose, "always trust" to stop it from asking you 200 times.

If you’re using the wiki instructions or the macFI then homebrew would have installed openssl. If that’s the case simply do a brew update and brew upgrade to get the latest openssl. In Terminal do a “openssl version”, I get: "OpenSSL 0.9.8zh 14 Jan 2016”, that is what is installed in 10.11.6. Then go to /usr/local/opt/openssl/bin, I get "OpenSSL 1.0.2h  3 May 2016”. I don’t do Firefox or VertoJS but I am guessing you need to add/adjust a path to see the correct openssl.
