I updated the installer script https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/Installation+on+OS+X+Using+AppleScript to now allow testing without an install step. This allows you to install FS and test easily later if you don’t want to test right after the install. This allows you to view the install logs before testing if you desire. It also now looks for Xcode beta and uses that if found. Many other improvements were made, some are listed in the history section of that wiki page.

Also, good news, FreeSWITCH will install and work fine (I did minimal testing) on macOS Sierra except for this Xcode 8 problem:

For Xcode 8 on Yosemite and Sierra, there is only one minor (I hope) compile error in su_time.c. I created a Jira for it. You can view the OS X testing history https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/Installation+and+Testing+on+OS+X#InstallationandTestingonOSX-TestingHistory I keep updated so you can see when the issue is fixed.

Also archived the separate Xcode install pages for each OS X version. Rolled into the Xcode install section.
