If you're developing an application that you plan to distribute (as in, not just a toy app that you're playing around with), TLS over TCP should really be the only thing you even consider IMO. Using an insecure transport leaves your signaling and media traffic open to anyone, not to mention the difficulties of successfully handling UDP behind NATs, firewalls, and any other unknown/uncontrolled network scenario.

Hi,

I am developing an Audio/Video Android app. I am able to connect to the FS server using SIP protocol over UDP.

I read somewhere that SIP protocol is blocked in some countries. Enterprise firewall restricts UDP packets and allow only TCP on port 443.

What is the best way to do signalling from Android app?
