I would start with understanding how to use FreeSWITCH, and beyond that, it depends totally on what you are trying to actually write.  Can you tell us a bit about your goals?

Moishe,

My interest in FS is mostly personal, and at a exploratory/experimental stage. So hiring professional FS-devs at this stage would be more than premature. Thanks for the idea though.

You might want to outsource some of your development to the freeswitch dev team.

Need some guidance on how to ramp-up quickly on FS module development -- rather understanding the source-code. I have to admit that I am not the smartest coder or the quickest learner. What might be the right place to start, without getting bogged down with details.

PS> There are no shortcuts, and one must learn it the long-hard-painful way, is a valid answer -- but I am hopeful of something better than that.
